All the software available from this page is StrongARM, RISC OS 4.02, RISC OS Select, and RISC OS 5 (Iyonix) compliant.

All the files are zip archives, produced using David Pillings SparkFS, and may be extracted using SparkPlug, Spark, or SparkFS.

GraphDraw

GraphDraw allows the entry, and editing, of x,y values, and the data may then be fit to

  • best straight line
  • best parabola
  • cubic spline curve
  • polynomial of order up to six.

The resulting graph may be printed via any standard RISC OS printer driver, saved as a draw file, or exported as a MultiPlot file to allow several graphs to be combined.

Version 2.70

Latest release - 20th May 2006

Graphdraw is undergoing a major rewrite. The first stage of this process has been completed. The wimp interface is now entirely Toolbox based, and this version requires the latest versions of the RISC OS Toolbox modules. If you do not have them they can be downloaded from Castle or from RISCOS Ltd.

An earlier non-toolbox version (2.57) is still available, see below.

New features

A range of new features have been introduced since version 2.59 was released. These include

  • User definable colours
  • Configurable page format
  • More graph display options can be saved
  • Non-linear least squares methods added
    • Semilog X
    • Semilog Y
    • Log X/Log Y

32bit.gif - 506 bytesGraphDraw is 26/32-bit neutral and runs on RISC OS Select and on RISC OS 5 on the Iyonix.iyonix.gif - 366 bytes

You may download version 2.70 as a zip archive.

  • The GraphDraw application, version 2.70 release (file size 2.5M) (New 20th May 2006)
Note the large size of this download - due to the inclusion of the new HTML based manual within the application (as per Castle Technology's guideline). Future upgrades will be smaller, containing just the files that have changed.

Changes in this release

  • Fix to allow use on a9Home with RISC OS 4.42
  • Now possible to ignore rogue points in curve fitting procedures, while still displaying them on the graph

You may view a complete summary of all the changes since version 2.59.

Please let me know of any problems.

Beta testers

GraphDraw is under continuous development. If you would like to be added to the list of beta testers then mail me at chrisjohnson+web@spamcop.net and I will include you.

Version 2.57 (29 Oct 2000)

This version remains available for those who do not wish to use the toolbox version - e.g. for those using older RISC OS 3.1 machines with limited memory. GraphDraw version 2.57 is 26-bit only.

You may download the following files, which are all zip archives.
